Thanks Eric. You’re diary entries are great. You’re really candid, which puts the reader in a privileged position. My biggest fear is my voice cracking in front of anyone. I’m glad to see it doesn’t have to be a soul crushing experience. Thanks for sharing.

Hey eric, your little blog is very inspirational, i live in england, family same problem’s in finance, all my parent’s want me to do is get any type of job for the money, and i was thinking about joining a music theatre to start of then mabey see if i can find any audition’s, Good luck with your career all the best from me, i shall hope to get to your place sometime in life, never give up, from michael.

It brings tears to my eyes. My same story man, my mother´s a poor woman who wants me to be an English teacher (that´s why I know English and I´m from Argentina) but all I wanna do is sing and I´ve been training for years now.

Anyway, next year I´m definetely going to tell her I´m giving up my teacher training course for ever.

You deserve all the best Eric, never give up…Nor will I.

Wow….i wasn’t expecting that.i just saw ur FB status update and came here to read.Its like someone just wrote about me…well almost all about me.i have never gotten the courage to audition to any music school due to the fact that am always worried what my voice would sound like under pressure or trained ears.But after reading this i have decided that i will audition next month for fall classes at Berklee here in Boston.Thanks so much for this….time to
